A golf destination unlike any other, Cabo del Sol is home to two exceptional courses—the Ocean Course and the Desert Course. Offering a thrilling playing experience enhanced by the stunning beauty of the Baja landscape and the Sea of Cortés, Cabo del Sol put Los Cabos golf on the map and continues to deliver an experience that draws golfers from around the world.
Desert Course
Regularly rated as a top course in Mexico, Cabo del Sol – Desert Course in Cabo San Lucas, B.C.S, Mexico, is a Tom Weiskopf-designed course built on land which he described as “some of the best terrain for golf anywhere in the world.” This paradise tucked on the Southern tip of Baja California Sur is a one-of-a-kind track that creates a mixture of desert and ocean-style golf with views of the water on all 18 holes. The signature 14th hole on the Desert Course contains a desert-island hazard in the middle of the fairway with an elevated green and false front, inspired by No. 14 at Augusta National. The artistic combination of desert reds and oranges combined with the deep blue of the water makes the Desert Course at Cabo del Sol a top destination south of the U.S. border.
Ocean Course
Described as “the best piece of golf property I’ve ever seen,” by course designer Jack Nicklaus, Cabo del Sol – Ocean Course opened in 1994 on the southern tip of the Baja Peninsula in Cabo San Lucas, B.C.S., Mexico. The Jack Nicklaus Signature Design displays the awe-inspiring landscape of desert, mountain and sea with seven holes bordering the rugged coastline of the Sea of Cortés. Part of what is widely regarded as the finest finishing holes in golf, the signature 17th hole at the Ocean Course is a 178-yard par 3 requiring a shot over a wave-washed beach from the back tees to a green resting upon an elevated granite shelf. The photographic scenery blended with an extraordinary golf experience is what makes the Ocean Course at Cabo del Sol an award winning facility.
